Vreugde Guest Farm is the perfect place for a weekend wedding.
Herewith information with regards to the different weekend packages:
1. Package Price
The package price will be determined by the number of guests and services required. A package can be designed to suit your personal needs. Please contact us for more information.
We have four standard Weekend Packages to choose from:
A. Use of facilities such as Chapel & Barn; Accommodation; Tables & Chairs, décor, etc & Catering.
B. Use of facilities such as Chapel & Barn; Accommodation; Tables & Chairs, décor, etc & Self-catering.
C. Use of facilities such as Chapel & Barn; Accommodation; Self hire of Tables & Chairs, décor, etc & Self- catering.
D. Small Groups – Up to 30 Guests: Use of facilities such as Chapel & Hall at main Complex for the function; Accommodation; In house Tables & Chairs, etc. and own décor & Self-catering.

3. Set-up of Cash Bar
With self-catering options and groups less than 60 guest’s , a cash bar is not included in the package price. You can supply your own liquor or we can set up a Cash Bar at additional costs.
If we provide the catering for more than 60 people, a Cash Bar is included in the package price. See the two options below:
OPTION 1
A Cash Bar with two barmen is available. You must brief us at the latest 21 days before the function regarding your requirements for the provision of the Wine, Malt, Soft Drinks, etc. Any changes to the bar requirements at any stage are to be done in writing and paid for in advance.
We allow you to bring in two bottles of wine and two bottles of champagne per table with no corkage fee. No other alcohol may be brought onto the premises without the consent of the management of Vreugde Guest Farm. A corkage fee of R25 per bottle for all other alcoholic beverages will be charged.
Please note that the bar will close strictly at the cut-off time of the function.

OPTION 2
Supply your own bar, all wines and other drinks. A discount of R2,500.00 will be given on the package price for this option. Please Note: No set-up of bar, waiters or drinks included. You are welcome to make use of Vreugde’s bar-counter.
4. Drinks and snacks before the reception
We recommend that you serve drinks and snacks to guests while taking photos between the ceremony and the reception. One alcoholic choice and one non-alcoholic choice are recommended. Drinks will be served at the waiting area / snack table.
5. Accommodation
Accommodation for up to 30 people is included in Weekend Packages.
Additional accommodation is available in town. A list with information on guest houses in the area will be provided.
6. Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 50% as per official quotation is required to confirm booking.
The deposit can be paid in two instalments as follows:
The balance is payable in two instalments as follows (Depending on date of function).
7. Breakage and Cleaning Deposit
A breakage and cleaning deposit of R2,000.00 is payable 30 days prior to the wedding and will be refunded within 7 days after the wedding after calculation of damages and additional cleaning (if any). You will also be liable for any breakage, damage or theft (also by guests) above the mentioned amount or any cost occurring in legal fees as a result there of.
8. Setup and Cut Off times
• Set-up can be done on Friday from 09h00 until 17h00 and on Saturday from 07h00. An extension for preparation will be granted on Friday evening until 20h00 to guests that make use of our accommodation. No vendor will be allowed after hours – a penalty fee will apply. This must be communicated to vendors.
• If delivery and setup is required to be done on a Wednesday or Thursday it must be arranged with management beforehand. A fee of R500.00 will be charged for the first 5 hours and R200.00 per hour thereafter. Please note: Access to the premises for preparation and set-up will not be granted until full payment has been made and reflect on our bank account.
• A venue fee of R700.00 per hour or part there-off will be charged after 16h00 for a day function and 24h00 for a afternoon/evening function. This will automatically be added to your account.
• All candles, decor items, flowers, etc. must be removed from the property on Sunday morning not later than 12h00. Vendors must remove their property on Monday between 09h00 and 16h00. No vendor will be allowed after hours or on another day – a penalty fee will apply. This must be communicated to vendors. Please Note: Vreugde Guest Farm does not take responsibility for any items left behind or to be collected at a later stage.
• All penalties will be charged for your account.
9. General
• No fireworks and sparkles will be allowed.
• No open flame lanterns and candles will be allowed.
• No balloons may be released into the air.
• The only confetti that can be used is flower petals or buds, rice, popcorn, bubbles or degradable paper. If you have something else in mind please discuss it with us.
• Smoking will only be allowed outside buildings at designated areas.
• No pets will be allowed.
• No permanent alterations are allowed, this also include nails or hooks in the walls, roof or frames without the consent of management.
• Damage to Vreugde Guest Farm property will be charged accordingly.
• No item, including linen, blankets or throws may be removed from the bridal house or any other room for use in the garden or reception hall or as décor, photography or any other reason.
• Take care not to stain linen and towels with make-up, wine, etc. – cost will be deducted accordingly.
• Chairs may not be removed by guests from chapel for any reason whatsoever.

10. Covid-19 Regulations:
Costs for implementing possible Covid-19 regulations are not included in the package price and are for the account of the customer.
11. Risks / Loss / Damages:
• Vreugde Guest Farm will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of any property whatsoever, although we endeavour to ensure the safeguarding of belongings and persons.
• Access to the farm, participation in activities and the use of facilities and equipment is at own risk for all persons. The owner, management of Vreugde Guest farm or any of it’s employees will not be held liable for any damage or injury to yourself or any third party.
• Vreugde Guest Farm is partly a commercial farm with various dams, farm equipment, etc. and cannot be held liable for the injury or death of any person. Children are not allowed to move around without adult supervision.
• Vreugde Guest Farm will not be held liable for interruptions to services that we cannot control for (e.g. electricity). A generator is available as back-up at the barn for essential power for lighting and heating of dishes.
• Should any damages occur to the property of yourself, guests and service providers due to fire or any other reason whatsoever, Vreugde Guest Farm will not be held accountable for such damages and losses.

6. Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 50% as per official quotation is required to confirm booking.
The deposit can be paid in two instalments as follows:
- 25% with acceptance of the quotation
- 25% within 60 days of acceptance of quotation
The balance is payable in two instalments as follows (Depending on date of function).
- 25% within 120 days of acceptance of quotation
- 25% thirty days prior to the wedding

- The yard at the main- and bridal house is for the exclusive use of the bride’s couple and is limited to the bride’s couple immediate family and service providers.
- No gathering of guests in / at the bridal house.
- Access to and from bridal house only through bottom gate only. No entry to terrain behind locked gates without permission.
- Maximum of two vehicles allowed in yard at bridal house at all times.
- Bridesmaids must remove their personal belongings before the wedding ceremony begins.
- No visitors after 23h00.
10. Covid-19 Regulations:
Costs for implementing possible Covid-19 regulations are not included in the package price and are for the account of the customer.
